MATERIALS CONSORTIUM

Dyndrite™, along with AM materials producers formed the first industry led, “Materials Consortium” for AM. The joint effort is designed to make LPBF powder parameters and related testing data for common materials freely and publicly available to end users, enabling increased knowledge sharing, better outcomes, and faster adoption of materials and techniques.

The MASTRO AM-MCQP is in direct support of the Materials Consortium.

We are the primary fabrication and testing resource developing open parameters for members. MASTRO uses Dyndrite’s tools to simplify and accelerate the development process. The goal is to provide materials data for the AM industry and to demystify the flexibility in acquiring, innovating, and adapting various materials for particular applications.
  • Fundamentally change how material characterization, parameter development, and material performance are executed.

  • Empower materials producers, designers and OEMs with material performance and data. Hyper-Fast testing and reliable data. De-risking new materials and programs.

  • Parameter sets are the IPs of the machine vendor. Material properties are closely guarded and expensive to characterize. AM is held back by the expense and time required to develop new data.

  • The MASTROs process. Creating open parameter sets quickly and cost effectively. Expanding AMs reach

We are utilizing Dyndrite's Python API to unlock unparalleled opportunities in parameter optimization and tool path development.

Our mission is to exceed the mechanical expectations set by material vendors and to push the boundaries of what machine vendors believe their equipment can achieve.
